Edward Willenborg Obituary
We bid farewell to Edward Willenborg of Carroll, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 20, 2025 at the age of 95. Edward touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Willenborg and Catherine Willenborg (Uhlenkamp); his wife Marlene Eischeid; his son Larry; his siblings, Marcella Daniel (Leonard), Leone Caldwell (Joe), Norbert Willenborg (Louise), Joe Willenborg (Louise), Paul Willenborg (Lavina) and Hilda Tunning (Norbert); and also, Peter and Lena Eischeid.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Kelli Tobin, Jason Fox, Jessi Wessling, Justin Cox, Shannon Wittrock, Chelsea Zeken, Angie Nees, Brian Willenborg, Jay Willenborg, JD Kennebeck, Jimmy Kennebeck, Kerry Kennebeck, Becky Mikels, Melissa Sanders, Kelsie Richardson, Lindsey Frimuth and Nicole Woodhouse; his children, Denny Willenborg (Julie), Jerry Willenborg (Jan) and Susie Kennebeck (Dave); his sisters-in-law, Julie Baumhover of Carroll, Bernadette Harrison of Omaha and Shirley Eischeid of Carroll; and also Peg Willenborg of Carroll. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM. A Mass will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Spirit Church-St. John (1607 N West St, Carroll, IA 51401). A prayer will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 7:00 PM.
