It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ed Vanderheiden of Carroll, Iowa, who passed away on May 2, 2024, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his nephews, Aaron Miller, Dawson Miller and Dillon Walsh; his parent Ruth Vanderheiden; his siblings, Tom Vanderheiden and Faith Steinkamp; and his aunts and uncles, Edna Sextro, Helen, Joe Lampe, Leo Sextro, Ed Sextro, Herb, Janet Sextro, Norbert Sextro, Leonard, Laurie Sextro, Leon Masching, Maxine Meier, Don, Claudine Vanderheiden, Beth Vanderheiden, Dorothy Vanderheiden, Karen Vanderheiden, Mary Vanderheiden and Theresa Buffington.
He is survived by: his siblings, Ann McAlister (Patrick) of Bayard, Beverly Miller (Gordon) of Storm Lake, Cynthia Hudson (Darren) of Wittman, Duane Vanderheiden (Kathy Spindler) of Omaha, Gary Vanderheiden (Julie) of Caldas and Rainha; his brother-in-law Jim Steinkamp of Carroll; and his aunts and uncles, Marie Sextro, Dora Sextro, Warren Meier, Richard Vanderheiden, Michael Vanderheiden (Marlene) and Patrick Vanderheiden. He is also survived by fourteen nieces and nephews, twenty-five great nieces and nephews, numerous cousins.
