He was predeceased by: his parents, Monte "Mac" Hook and Evelyn Hook (Jacobs); his parents-in-law, Peter and Margaret "Mugs" Thielen; and his brother Randy Hook.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Thielen of Carroll; his children, Travis Hook, Nathan Hook (Dallas Gagner) of Elkhart and Madison Hook (Rishabh Ajmera) of Santa Clara, CA; his sisters, Candi Rotert (Bill) of Waterloo, NE and Pam Hook of Ft. Dodge; and his siblings-in-law, Becky Kruthoff (Rob) of Minnesota, Donna Bellinghausen (Dale) of Halbur, Joe Thielen (Deb) of Maple River and Mike Thielen (Jill) of Johnston. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
