It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Drees of Carroll, Iowa, who passed away on June 9, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Drees and Theresa Drees (Eischeid); his daughter Joyce Mohr; his parents-in-law, Joseph and Elizabeth Ortner; his siblings, Louis Jr. Drees (Freda), Maxine Collison (R. W. "Dick"), Howard Drees (Patricia), LaVonne Darges (Daryl), Dorothy Drees and Douglas Drees; and his siblings-in-law, Justin Ortner, William Onken, Marilyn Wuebker (Lowell), Clarise Pudenz (Wilbur) and Melvin Borkowski.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Drees of Carroll; his children, Vickie Drees of Carroll, Bob Drees (Myrna) of Carroll, Tom Drees (Donna) of Scranton, Joe Drees (Laura) of Amarillo, TX, Gayle Mitchell (Rex) of Prole, Jim Drees (Deanne) of Carroll, Jill Thielen (Mike) of Johnston and Dave Drees of Carroll; his son-in-law Bob Mohr of Lake View; and his sisters-in-law, Marilyn Ortner, Sylvia Onken and Leota Borkowski. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be left for the Donald Drees family for a later designation.
