He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Sunderman and Malinda Sunderman of Clarinda; his siblings, Donald, Leora (Max Sunderman), Darlene (Bob Wilson) and LaVern (Jenny Sunderman); his brother-in-law Rev. Norman Discher; and his niece Sandy Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Sunderman of Carroll, Iowa; his children, Sherry Sunderman (Tom Mueller) of Dallas, Texas, Cindy Naberhaus (Leon) of Carroll, Iowa and Dave Sunderman (Linda) of Madison Lake, Minnesota.; his grandchildren, Rob Naberhaus (Erin) of Scottsdale, Arizona, Anne Naberhaus (Chad Williamson) of Omaha, Nebraska, Katie Jaffe (Eric) of Carroll, Iowa, Heidi Kratzke (Jon) of Perham, Minnesota and Sarah Lindsay (Justin) of St. Louis Park, Minnesota.; and his sister LaDonna Discher of Lakeville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
