He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Wittry and Magdalene Wittry (Snyder); his daughter Ann; his parents-in-law, Rose and Bernard Baumhover; his siblings, Della Nieland, Eugene, Romayne and Kenneth Wittry; his brothers-in-law, Pat Nieland, William Baumhover and Paul Baumhover; and his grandchildren, John Foster Mason and Anna Louise Mason.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Wittry (Baumhover); his children, Mary Jo Wittry of St. Louis, Sandy Cayler (Jeff) of Omaha, Dean Wittry (Monica) of Urbandale, Janet Dietrich (Dennis) of Mt. Vernon, Susan Nuetzman (Steve) of Wall Lake, Richard Wittry (Becky) of Indianola, Mark Wittry (Michelle) of Dubuque, Margaret Anderson (Kevin) of Kansas City, Judy Wagner (Paul) of Carroll and Timothy Wittry (Ann); his brother John Wittry (Marceal); and his siblings-in-law, Gerald Baumhover (Alice), Charles Baumhover (Jean), Steven Baumhover (Norma), Joan Wittry, Jane Wittry and Annette Baumhover. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.
