He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carl Windschitl and Leonora Windschitl (Groebner); his grandfather Clete; his wife Valerie Windschitl of Carroll; his close friends, Dr. Mark Windschitl (Pam Joseph), Dawn Windschitl, Stephen Windschitl (Rebecca), Martha Royer (Mark), Chris Windschitl (Jody), Gretchen Janssen (Roy) and Dr. Paul Windschitl (Tricia); his siblings, Dr. Harold Windschitl (Shirley), Maggie Manion and Paul Bartl Windschitl (Gayle); his son John Gregory Windschitl; and his brother-in-law Dr. Jim Manion.
