She was predeceased by: her father John Hodges; her stepfather Earl Bennett; and her daughter Brandy Sievers. She is survived by: her husband Art Valentine of Carroll; her daughter Sara Valentine of Carroll; her mother Lola Bennett (Anderson) of Carroll; her grandchildren, Carlie Barger (Michael), Bennett Sievers, Clark Sievers and Linkin Kramer; and her great grandchild Everlee. She is also survived by several cousins and other extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to St. Anthony Hospice in Chris' name.
