It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charlotte Lorraine Avey of Carroll, Iowa, who passed away on December 16, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Lebeck and Jane Lebeck (Potter); her brothers, Jerry (Carol), Dick (Marvel), Don (Dorothy) and Kenny; her daughter-in-law Debra Ann Avey; and her sister-in-law Mavis Lebeck.
She is survived by: her sons, Norman Eugene "Gene" Avey (Debbie Gonyaw-Avey) of Aiken, SC and Michael Dean Avey of Council Bluffs, IA; her grandchildren, Cameron Avey of Lincoln, NE and Garret Avey of California; her great grandchild Kaylee; her brothers, Ronald Lebeck of Audubon and Wayne Lebeck (Pat) of Audubon; and her sister-in-law Sherry Lebeck of Atlantic. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Dahn & Woodhouse Funeral Home - Carroll (705 N Carroll St, Carroll, IA 51401). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
