She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack J. Hummel and Helen H. Hummel (Boege); and her father-in-law Elroy Lieb. She is survived by: her husband Larry Lieb of Carroll; her children, Christopher Lieb of Eagle, MI and Heather Wessling (Scott) of Grimes; her grandchildren, Cole Wessling, Aidyn and Xander Lieb; her mother-in-law Norma Jean Lieb of Omaha; her brothers, David Hummel (Ruth) and James Hummel (Mary Beth) of Council Bluffs; and her siblings-in-law, Kathy Cavanaugh of Omaha, Ken Lieb (Nancy) of Seward, NE, Dick Lieb (Carolyn) of Lincoln, NE and Lee Alan Lieb (Mari) of Omaha. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Carole's name for a later designation and may be left with the funeral home or at the church.
