She was predeceased by: her parents, Delmar Vernia and Marian Vernia (Wiseman); her sister Ann Marie Vernia; her husband Glen "Stoney" Neumayer; and her son Mike Ortner.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin Ortner of Columbus, OH, Timothy Ortner (Nancy) of Marysville, WA, Lori Macy (Burt Sly) of Des Moines and Kristi Hugen (Eric) of Monroe, IA; her brother Delmar Vernia Jr. (Linda) of Des Moines; and her nephew Ron Vernia (Dawn) of Des Moines. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
