He was predeceased by: his parents, Axel Heide and Loretta Heide (Roth); his parents-in-law, Albert and Vergil Liechti; and his siblings-in-law, Margaret Heide and John Sturges.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Liechti of Carroll; his children, Stephen Heide (Michelle), Lesli Pool (David) of Yutan, NE and Jeffrey Heide of Sioux Center, IA; his grandchildren, Heather Christensen (Kyle), Ashleigh Wiltgen (Cody), Chelsie Prokop (Nick), Danielle Lantinga (Sam), Jeffrey Heide Jr. and Adam Heide; his great grandchildren, Aubin and Wyatt; and his siblings, Marvin Heide of Duluth, MN and Sharon Ann Sturges of Carroll. He is also survived by other extended family members and friends.
