With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Arlene Steffes of Carroll, Iowa, who passed away on June 8, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed Uhlenkamp and Helen Uhlenkamp (Dopheide); her adoptive parents, Ed, Helen Uhlenkamp, Bill and Mary Dopheide; her granddaughter McKaila Steffes; her great grandchild Bridget Barta; her sisters, Edna Trecker (LaVern), Anita Weber (Marvin) and Ruth Duren; and her parents-in-law, John, Anna Steffes (Halbur), Luverne Steffes (Barb), Doris Mader (Frank), Fred Gosch and Joe Vogl.
She is survived by: her uncle Bill; her aunt Mary Dopheide of Willey, IA; her husband Roman; her children, Jim (Kim) of Eloy, AZ, Marilyn Barta (Sam) of Carroll, IA, Jerry (Jane) of Omaha, NE, Marty (Michelle) of Carroll, IA, Dan (Sandie), Gary (Kathy) of Carroll, IA, JoAnn Wanek of Omaha, NE, John (Kathy) of Carroll, IA, Dave (Wendy) of Des Moines, IA and Tom of Johnston, IA; her siblings, Harry Uhlenkamp (Mary Kay) and Joan Wiederhold (Don); and her parents-in-law, Sister Marcella Steffes, Lorraine Vogl, Norma Gosch, Robert Steffes (Rache), Arlene Meier (Melvin), Marian Pickhinke and Carol Mader (Don). She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
