She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Baumhover and Anna Baumhover (Heller); her husband Matt Bauer of Paul's Church; her children, Helen Marie, Nicholas Luke and John Paul; and her siblings, Clarence Baumhover, Arthur Baumhover, David Baumhover, Leo Baumhover, Herbert Baumhover, Frank Baumhover, Cordelia Morris, Ruth Spear and Rita Trotter.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Wessling (John) of Carroll, Iowa, Matt Bauer Jr. (Cindy) of Templeton, Iowa, Mark Bauer (Mary) of Jefferson, Iowa, Nancy Yeager and Richard Bauer (Lydia) of Phoenix, Arizona; and her sister-in-law Julie Baumhover of Carroll. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and a great-great grandson; along with, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM at the Holy Spirit Church (1607 N West St, Carroll, IA 51401). A Mass was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Spirit Church – St. John (1607 N West St, Carroll, IA 51401). A burial was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the St. John Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left at the church for a later charitable designation.
