She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Pruis and Nellie Pruis (Barsema); her parents-in-law, Peter and Daisy Sikkema; her siblings, Lois Yarbrough and Harry Pruis; and her daughter-in-law Diane Sikkema.
She is survived by: her husband Vernon "Doc" Sikkema; her children, Michael Sikkema of Carroll, Kimberly Sikkema of Carroll, Steven Sikkema of Carroll and Melissa Creech (Herschel) of Kansas City, MO; her grandchildren, Angie Owen (Ryan) of Carroll, Ryan Sikkema (Kelsey) of Marion, IA, Mitchell Sikkema of Carroll and Katelyn Wellington (Cody) of Papillion, NE; her great grandchildren, Kyla, Cruze and Mason; her brothers, Larry Pruis (Janet) of Michigan and Warren Pruis (Marcia) of Morrison, IL; and her sisters-in-law, Jeannine Katje of Martin, MI and Eileen Pruis of Thompson, IL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
