He was predeceased by : his wife Marian Kay Madden Cox; his parents, Leslie and Edith; his siblings, Walter, Wayne, Warren, Wanda and Wilma; and his granddaughter Abigail.

He is survived by : his children, Greg Cox (Lisa) of Kellogg, Brandon Cox (Nissa) of Winnetka, Ill. and Stephanie McClain (Patrick) of Pleasant Hill; and his close friend Karen Neil of Des Moines.

Visitation was held on Thursday, June 27th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Eldon Christian Church (514 W Walnut St, Eldon, IA 52554). A funeral service was held on Friday, June 28th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Eldon Christian Church or to Harness Cemetery.
