It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Loraine Esther Martin (Carlisle, Iowa), born in Jewell, Iowa, who passed away on August 5, 2018, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her children, Ronald Wayne Van Vleet and Lynette Lorene Van Vleet; her grandson Nathan Wayne Van Vleet; and her siblings, Jack Carlson and Maryanna Carlson.
She is survived by: her daughter Christine Stiehl (Rob); her grandchildren, Brandon Van Vleet (Stephanie), Natalie Zuker (Joseph), Audrey Morlan and Meredith Morlan; her great grandchildren, Mason Vleet and Presley Van Vleet; her siblings, Lorene Grandgeorge and Leonard "Boe" Carlson; and her niece Beth Shipley (Rod). She is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers friends and family may contribute to a memorial fund that will be made in her name to Lutheran Family Adoption Services.
