It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Rice (Carlisle, Iowa), born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on October 26, 2019, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Rice and Charlotte Rice; his grandson Brian; and his brother Steve. He is survived by: his wife Mary Rice of Des Moines; his children, Bruce Rice (Felicitas) of Georgia, Deborah Rice-Kraft (Terry) of Des Moines, Brian Rice of Des Moines and Deanna Rice of Arizona; his stepchildren, Jami Medchill (Bill) and Wade Raab (Diana); and his siblings, Eva Stout and Bob Rice of North Carolina. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
