It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Lee Peiffer (Carlisle, Iowa), born in Washington, Iowa, who passed away on April 4, 2022, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Peiffer and Rose Peiffer. He is survived by: his wife Janet; his daughters, Heather Van Essen (Jason), Stacy Sargent (Paul) and Abbey Moehn (Adam); his grandchildren, Addy Van Essen, Milly Van Essen, Tate Van Essen, Ben Sargent, Emma Moehn and Alex Sargent; and his siblings, David Peiffer, Brenda Flinn, Mike Peiffer (Terri), Karen Broich (Jim), Bev Kaas (Al), Bryan Peiffer (Erin) and Dr. William Johnson (Georgia). He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions in Doug's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Wounded Warriors Foundation.
