He was predeceased by: his parents, Winfred Johnson and Clara Johnson (Rustad); his wife Grace E. Urness; his sisters, Norma Kalenbach and Marcile Richie; his stepsister Gladys Fries; and his brothers, Clair and Donald Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Wayne Johnson (Marie) of Saint Augustine, FL, Roy Johnson (Connie) of Plymouth, MN, Nathan Johnson (Jill) of Clive and Kirsten Van Soelen (Dan) of Ames. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Palestine Lutheran Church or Riverside Bible Camp.
