It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger Wilson Thorson of Cambridge, Iowa, born in Nevada, Iowa, who passed away on August 16, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Emil and Trena Thorson (Wilson); and his sisters, Phyllis Madison and Marilyn Bader. He is survived by: his wife Janet Mae Thompson of Cambridge; his children, Lorene Geiger (Mike) of New Hartford, John Thorson (Debbie) of St. Charles, Jeff Thorson (Linda) of Ames and Scott Thorson (Rita) of Kelley; his grandchildren, Curtis Mabbitt, Brad Mabbitt, Linda Schott (Jeffrey), Paul Geiger (Victoria), Wyatt Thorson, Kenny Thorson (Anna Keller), Melissa Mann (Roger), Jamie Larson and Nick Larson (Kara); and his great grandchildren, Courtney, Alexis, Jordy, Rueben, Brison, Hunter, Garrett, Eleanor and Genevieve.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Israel Family Hospice House or the Iowa Heart Association.
