Katherine R. Saveraid Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine R. Saveraid of Cambridge, Iowa, who passed away on October 18, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerhard Vespestad and Beulah Vespestad (Lande); her husband Paul Saveraid; her daughter DeAnn Shaffer; and her sister Evelyn Lantz.
She is survived by: her daughters, Norma Colton (Keith) of Cedar Rapids, Debra Hoffman (Dan) of Marion and Sandra Harleen (Bill) of Madrid; her son-in-law Sam Shaffer (Annette) of Cambridge; her grandchildren, Kimberly Colton, Jeffrey (Rosina), Benjamin (Paulina), David (Lindsay), Aaron Hoffman, Leah (Richard), Luth, Stephen Hoffman, Cristen (Brian), Harmon (Charlie), Melinda (Jason), Kam (Evelyn), Brian Harleen, Luke Shaffer (Jessica) and McKenzie Bushaw (Scott); and her siblings, Lois Klonglan, Esther Richardson (Leo), Elmer and Ron Vespestad. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Palestine Lutheran Church.
