He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Mooney and Luella Mooney (Bostian); his former wife Debra Mooney (Leu); and his son Joseph Andrew Shafar. He is survived by: his wife Georgia Shafar of Camanche; and his children, Tom Mooney of Clinton, Colton Mooney of Dubuque, Gary Shafar (Susan) of Camanche, Tracy Shafar of Clinton, Jackie Kammerer (Terry) of Camanche and Sally Shafar (Greg Worsley) of Clinton. He is also survived by 8 granddaughters; 1 grandson; 14 great-grandchildren; with many nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family and many friends.
