She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Murphy and Veronica Murphy (McDeVitt); and her brother Donald Murphy (Arleta). She is survived by: her husband Edward "Ed" E. Cooper; her children, Steven E. Cooper (Julie) of Clinton and Debra Taplin (Bill) of Clinton; her siblings, Gary Murphy (Karen) of Camanche and Judith Murphy of Clinton; and her sister-in-law Betsy Zerrien of Fulton. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
