He was predeceased by: his parents, George M. Phillips and Neva Phillips (Wisman); his brother Tom Phillips; and his sons, Chris Phillips and Doug Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Phillips (Determan); his children, Christopher P. Phillips, Andrea Thoms (Mark) and Ann Thoms (Mark) of Camanche; his grandchildren, Justin Thoms (Jessica) of Fulton, Lindsey Brown (Jamie) of Clinton, Sean Leeper of Des Moines, Nathan, Nicholas and Nolan Thoms of Camanche; his great grandchildren, Gracie Brown, Bryson Huizenga, Brooklyn Thoms, Bentley Brown and Ty Brown; his siblings-in-law, Nancy Kohrt of Amana, Janet Andrews of Coralville and Steve Determan; his nephew Kevin Phillips; and also Bob Determan.
