He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie F. Widener, and Beedie Widener, Sr. (Sparks); his wife Helen Stoddard; his grandchildren, Eugene Kemp, Jr. and Courtney Rogers; and his siblings, Mildred Scott, Vera Hatfield and Jerry.
He is survived by: his children, Troy Widener (Rebecca) of Preston, Kent Widener of Clinton and Tammy Kemp (Eugene, Sr.) of Camanche; and his siblings, Alice Grant of Clinton, Garry Widener of Savanna, Edwin Widener of Fulton, David Widener (Jean) of Rock Falls and Donald Widener of Davenport. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren.
