She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Medinger and Mary Medinger (Michels); her husband John Schroeder, Jr.; and her son Darrel. She is survived by: her children, Debbie Tompkins (Bill) of Camanche, Kathy Foster of Fulton and Kevin Schroeder (Julie) of Low Moor; her grandchildren, Curt Schroeder (Sara) of Newton, Chris Schroeder, Christa Schroeder (Marshall Stuart) of Ankeny and Justin Schroeder of Low Moor, Iowa; her great grandchildren, Maia Davis of Chicago and Audrey Schroeder; her sister Evelyn Reistroffer of Camanche; and her sister-in-law Vera Medinger of Maquoketa, Iowa. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
