It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alta Maxine Jones of Camanche, Iowa, born in Clinton, Iowa, who passed away on November 23, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, McClellan Miller and Pearl Miller (Williams); her former husband Earl "Buzz" Bennett; her sister Jo McLeod; and her niece Katie Miller.

She is survived by: her husband Lawrence "Larry" Jones of Camanche, IA; her children, Mary Campbell (Jeremy) of Clinton, Kenneth Bennett (Janelle) of Davenport, IA, Kevin Bennett (Sandy) of Morrison, CO and Michael Bennett of Seminole, FL; her brother Michael Miller (Ann) of Shelley, ID; and also Mary Jones. She is also survived by three granddaughters, one grandson, four great-grandsons.

Memorials may be made to the Friends of the Camanche Public Library, where Alta loved to volunteer.
