He was predeceased by: his parents, Spec Wilmes and Lois Wilmes (Tuck). He is survived by: his wife Kim; his children, John Wilmes (Jamie) of Decorah, IA, Adam Wilmes (Kylie) of Omaha, NE. and Molly Henshaw (Kory) of Pierson, IA.; his grandchildren, Alex, Norah, Holden Wilmes, Stella, Mabel, Isabel, Emmett Wilmes, Kaylee, Ashlyn, Mara and Miles Henshaw; his brothers, Bill Wilmes (Garnet) of Loveland, CO and Dave Wilmes (Connie) of Roseville, MN; his father-in-law Darrell Bennigsdorf (Judy Schimmer); his brother Jeff Wilmes; and his mother-in-law Marlene Bennigsdorf (Thornhill). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, in-law and extended family.
