He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund Ehler and Sylvia Ehler (Hageman); his brother Terrance Ehler; his sister-in-law Audrey Ehler; and his grandparents, Philip, Theresia Hageman, William and Rosina Ehler.
He is survived by: his siblings, Ken (Cathy) of Calmar, Theresa Lou Schmitt (Loren) of Calmar and Marianne Ehler of Edina, MN; his nephew Matthew Schmitt (Rachael); his great-nephews, Edmund and Bennett; his nephew Brian Schmitt (Danielle); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ethen and Owen; his nephew Kurt Schmitt (Shantel); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Oliver, Bodhi and Kane; his nephews, Andrew Ehler and Adam Ehler; and also Bonnie Ehler of Urbandale, IA.
A rosary will be held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Festina Parish Center (2351-County Road B32, Festina, IA 52144). Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Parish (2351-County Road B32, Festina, IA 52144).
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made towards masses and activities for the residents of Accura.
