He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Peterson and Inger Peterson (Heggen); his wife Arlene Scharf; his former wife Betty Lane; his children, Roger and Ruth Ann; his granddaughter Andrine Marburger; his brother Phillip; his sister-in-law Marilyn; his nieces, Nina and Kristine Peterson; his sister-in-law Joann Sharf; and his nephew James Scharf.
He is survived by: his children, Kent Peterson (Kim) of Callender, Kevin Peterson (Jan) of Boxholm and Rachel Peterson of Callender; his daughter-in-law Linda Peterson of Fort Dodge; his grandchildren, Jodi Delaney (Jeff) of Ft. Dodge, Jenny Marburger (Phil) of Malvern, Amy Donahe (Cory) of Humboldt, Aaron Peterson of Ft. Dodge, Alissa Erickson (Chris) and Anna Nalean (Bobby) of Des Moines; and his great grandchildren, Kristen, Matt, Katie Delaney, Ahren, Madi, Ailey, Shaelynn Marburger, Rylie, Cael, Brayden and Liberty Erickson. He is also survived by 4 step grandchildren; 17 step great grandchildren; and 3 step great-great grandchildren.
