Charles Porth Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Porth of Calamus, Iowa, who passed away on February 11, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Charles Porth to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Porth and Ada Porth (Funnell); his brothers, David and Walter Jr.; his son-in-law Tom Kueter; and his grandsons, Dustin Kueter and Justin Porth.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Schwennsen Steffens; his children, David Porth, Theresa Hovey (Dean), Michael Porth, Scott Porth, Nancy Steinlicht (Jeff), Kimberly Porth (Rodney Davis) and Kevin Porth; his stepchildren, Scott Steffens (Kim), Todd Steffens (Paula) and Julie Kalfas (Dan); and his sister-in-law Sue Porth. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Schultz Funeral Home (611 Fulton St, Grand Mound, IA 52751). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Camp Courageous.
