He is survived by: his wife Alyce Courtney of Bussey; his children, Jack Courtney of Knoxville, Vicki Courtney of Ottumwa and Doug Courtney (Rose "Scooter") of Moravia; his grandson Jeremy "J. D."; and his brother Roland "Swede" Courtney of Bussey.
