He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Smith and Gladys Smith (Hendricks); his daughter Katie Smith; and his sisters, Charlotte Jones and Karie Larkin.
He is survived by: his former wives, Vickie Little and Karen Ray; his wife Sandy Walton; his children, Bobbi Jo Jamieson, John Haines, Christopher Haines (Lisa), Robert "Bob" Whelan (Heidi), David Whelan (Ashley Crawmer) and Tim Whelan (Kayla Post); his sister Dixie Moneysmith (Larry); his friends, Craig and Carol Reed; and his pet Daisy Mae. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild.
Due to the current State of Public Health Disaster Emergency and the COVID-19 pandemic, the visitation will be limited to ten individuals in the building at a time.
An open memorial has been established and will be determined at a later date.
