Duane F. Habeger Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Duane F. Habeger in Burt, Iowa, who passed away on January 2, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Habeger and Charlotte Habeger; his wife Shirley; his parents-in-law, Melfred and Anna Mitchell; his son Kent Habeger (Case); his grandson Jeffrey Von Muenster; his sisters, Frances Sarchet and Fern Furst; and his siblings-in-law, Phyllis Yelick, Mary Lou Overton, Kenneth Sarchet, Richard Furst, Aldon Mitchell, Sanford Mitchell and Pete Yelick.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kirsten Strack (William) of Pocahontas, Sandra Evan (Timothy) of Rochester, MN and Lori Von Muenster (Eric) of Ankeny; his daughter-in-law Marti Habeger of Burt; his grandchildren, Nicole Johnson (Kirk), Kyle Strack (RaeAnn), Amy Danielson, Chelsey Skogerbo (Brandon), Ryan Habeger, Mitchell Habeger (Melissa), Shaun Von Muenster (Danielle) and Scott Von Muenster; and his great grandchildren, Cade, Ava Tjaden, Karson, Amiah Johnson, Bentley, Lyla, Pyper, Maveryck Strack, Abby, Austin, Adilynn Danielson, Ryker, Jaxson, Miles Skogerbo, Corbin Habeger and Waylon Habeger. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the First Lutheran Church (226 N Putnam St, Algona, IA 50511). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
