He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo E. Hellman and Emma A. Hellman (Elsbecker); his wife Donna Jean Josephine Kahler; his siblings, Arnold, Clarence, Elmer, Art (Leona), Albert (Shirley) and Louise Hellman; his brother-in-law Carl Hansen; his nephew Don Kahler; and his niece Deb Homen.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Hellman (Susie McConnell) of Saylorville, IA, Jim Hellman (Robin Garvick) of Elmore, MN, Barbara Nemmers (Craig) of Armstrong, Lisa Henriksen (Philip) of Ringsted and David Hellman of Des Moines; his grandchildren, Jennifer Nemmers, Jason Nemmers, Jessica Pierson (Cory), Amy Fossen (Levi), Derek Nemmers, Seth Hellman, Ross Hellman (Elizabeth), Allison Hellman, Natalie Henriksen and Rachel Henriksen; his great grandchildren, Miles, Norah, Adelyn Pierson (Jessica), Ivy and Willow Fossen (Amy); his close friend Leanne Castillo; and his sister-in-law Lucille Hellman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Social distance practices will be followed and masks are REQUIRED at both the visitation and the funeral.
