He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Gipe and Pearl Stewart Self Gipe. He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer Lynn Self of Chicago, IL; his stepson James Kisor (Mary) of Crawfordsville, IA; his grandsons, Sam Gonzalez and Joe Gonzalez; his stepgranddaughters, Amanda Johnson, Rachyl Kisor and Emily Kisor; his siblings, Craig Self (Mary Alvis) of St. Patrick, MO, Teresa Glasscock of Keokuk and Tina Burrows of Kalona, IA; and his aunt Norma Hartwig of Carthage, IL.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vigen Memorial (1328 Concert St, Keokuk, IA 52632). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
