He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence William and Norma Adelaide Blakey Riffel. He is survived by: his wife Judy Riffel of Mary's Catholic Church; his children, Blake Riffel and Mallory Kienast (Anthony); his grandsons, Christian, Noah and Thomas Kienast; and his siblings, Paul Riffel and Beth Brocchini.
A rosary was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Prugh Funeral Service (3940 Division St, Burlington, IA 52601). A vigil service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Divine Mercy Parish - Ss Mary (500 W Mt Pleasant St, West Burlington, IA 52655).
