She was predeceased by: her parents, Gladys (Harvey Hughes) and Lee; her husband Robert "Bob" Garvey; her sons, Gregory and Timothy; and her sister Irene Lenhard.
She is survived by: her children, David Garvey (Vivian), Mary Garvey Myers (Joe), Susan Garvey Pittman (Jerry), Peter Garvey (Karen), Christopher Garvey and Boa Nguyen (Ahn Tran); and her sister Joan Lynn of Penfield, NY.. She is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Lee's name be sent to Transitions DMC, 515 S Main Street, Burlington, Iowa 52601, a local homeless shelter.
