He is survived by: his wife Tamarra Roach; his children, Darby Washington (Karena) and Regina Paschal Barmore; his grandchildren, Alec Monaghan, Joshua Washington, Hannah Washington, Tamryn Washington, Tiana Washington and Jerry Antoine Paschal; and his granddaughter-in-law Erin Paschal.
A memorial has been established to St. John A.M.E Church and Patriotic Quilters of Southeast Iowa (Quilts of Valor.).
