She was predeceased by: her parents, William Carpenter and Anna Carpenter (Vollmer); her husband William M. Riherd; her daughter Cyd Riherd; her sister Karen Helmick; and her son-in-law Gene Snowden.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Snowden of Burlington, Dawn Riherd of Tucson, AZ, Terry Riherd of Burlington, Cherie Riherd (Jackie Polson) of Houston, TX, Quintin Riherd of Burlington, Tod Riherd (Gina) of Oakville, IA, Teresa McAninch (Mike) of Ankeny, IA and Caprice Cordero (Pablo) of Burlington; and her siblings, William Carpenter of Burlington, Carolyn Lowthorp of Shenandoah, IA, Linda Shepherd of Burlington, Darlene Wilson (Gene) of Burlington and Clyde Carpenter (Susan) of Burlington. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Lunning Funeral Chapel (2620 Mt Pleasant St, Burlington, IA 52601). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
A memorial has been established in her memory.
