He was predeceased by: his parents, A. G. Pierce and Mildred Pierce; his sisters, Beverly Ganz Hight, Ruth Strodtman and Jane Zepeda; his brother-in-law Tony Zepeda; and his brother Greg Pierce.
He is survived by: his wife Lois June McGee; his children, Dave Pierce (Cathy) of Grinnell, IA, Tom Pierce (Margene) of Grinnell, IA and Nancy Hendrickson (Mark) of Grinnell, IA; his sisters, MaryBeth Robertson of Michigan and Dana Devine (Bill) of Arizona; and his siblings-in-law, Dave Strodtman of Hallsville, MO, Samuel Ganz of Corpus Christi, TX and Marsha Pierce of Richland, GA. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and their spouses; thirty-two great grandchildren.
