It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Eugene Hoschek of Burlington, Iowa, who passed away on March 9, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Michael departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Michael. Though Michael may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert J. Hoschek and Dorothy E. Luttenegger Hoschek. He is survived by: his wife Dessie A Dean of Burlington; his daughters, Michelle Siegfried (Brad) of Burlington and Kristin Hoschek of Ankeny; his grandchildren, Greyson Siegfried of Burlington, Lois Kopf and Walter Kopf of Ankeny; his brother Larry Hoschek (Sue) of Buda, TX; his pet Bullette; and his close friend Buzz Jelinek. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Prugh Funeral Service (3940 Division St, Burlington, IA 52601). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Baptist Catholic Church (700 Division St, Burlington, IA 52601).
