He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Guy and Marie Louise Wunderlich Carter; and his siblings, James, Warren Carter and Mary Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Carter of Burlington; his son Bret Carter (Angie) of Arvada, CO; and his grandchildren, Shaelyn, Jake and Trey Carter.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Prugh Funeral Service (3940 Division St, Burlington, IA 52601). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for the Des Moines County Humane Society, Parkinson's Foundation, and Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice.
