He was predeceased by: his parents, Laurance "Tut" Delzell and Verlee Hamilton Delzell; his children, Melodie Warth and Daniel Delzell; and his brother Philip Delzell.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Delzell of Burlington; his children, Darren Delzell (Mary) of Burlington, Teresa Johnson (James) of Burlington and David Delzell of Burlington; and his siblings, Roger Delzell of Morning Sun and Darla Lane of Sperry. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Morning Sun First United Presbyterian Church (15 E Division St, Morning Sun, IA 52640). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for the Ronald McDonald House in Iowa City or to PAW Animal Shelter in Fort Madison.
