He was predeceased by: his parents, Phil F. Pender and Velma Carter Pender; and his siblings, Mildred, Marge, Mary, Lester, Lawrence, Lowell and Lynn.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara of Burlington; his children, Kevin Pender of Donnellson, Kenneth Pender (Tracy) of Burlington and Karen Hoskins (Gail) of Kirksville, MO; his siblings, Leo Pender (Pat) of Moline, IL, Marcella Prevo (Bill) of Bloomfield, IA and Marlene Henry (John) of Memphis, MO; and his grandchildren, Gauge, Mikenna, Traeh and Hunter.
