It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joseph F. O'Donnell of Burlington, Iowa, who passed away on February 23, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Boysen and Margaret "Virginia" Boysen; his brother Donald Shuster; his grandson Hunter O'Donnell; and his brothers-in-law, Marvin Meyette and Martin Meyette.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Meyette; his children, Ryan O'Donnell (Shannon) of Burlington, Michael O'Donnell (Shonna) of Iowa City, Dezmon Meyette (Candice) of Pueblo, Megan Lipper (Logan) of North Liberty, David O'Donnell (Sara) of Carthage, Angela Kershner (Luke) of Danville and Cassie Curtis (Justin) of West Burlington; his grandchildren, Makayla, Miles, Micah O'Donnell, Aiden, Chloe Meyette, Layla and Nolan Lipper; and his siblings, Larry West of Athens and DeeAnn Bokhoven (Scot) of New Sharon, Iowa.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Lunning Funeral Chapel (2620 Mt Pleasant St, Burlington, IA 52601). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
A memorial has been established in his memory.
