Greta left this world on March 30, 2025 at the age of 85, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kornelius Vahl and Gertrude Hauber Vahl; her husband Gary Lee Goodman; and her brothers-in-law, Keith Barnes and Jerry Goben.
She is survived by: her sons, Greg Goodman (Beth) of Washington and Todd Goodman (Chris) of Hiawatha; her grandchildren, Christopher Goodman (Whitney), Tyler Goodman and Nicole Goodman (Doug Duke); and her sisters, Karen Barnes of Ames and Sheila Goben of Overland Park, KS. She is also survived by three nephews, and several cousins.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Burlington Public Library.
