He was predeceased by: his parents, John Pierson and Margeurite Pierson (Ertzinger); and his brother John Pierson. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte; his son Mike Pierson (Bonnie); his grandson Nicholas Pierson; his niece Lora Larrance (Bob); and his brother-in-law Stefan Ritzau.
