He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Lee and Betty Jean Laughlin (Walker). He is survived by: his wife Ginny Scott of Burlington; his children, Mindy Sutak (John) of Ft. Madison and Levi Patton (Brenna Norman) of Cedar Falls; his grandchildren, Dryden Dorothy, Ronnie Christian, Kailey Sutak, Marley Grizzle, Jaxson Ellis Sutak, Lane Patton and Ellis Ray Patton; his siblings, Larry Laughlin (Diane) of Beaufort, SC, Linda Stanton (Matt) of Russell, MN and Steve Laughlin of Burlington; his mother-in-law Mary Scott Fuller; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Pool, Becky Stanton (James), Lucy Walker (Johnnie) and Tommy Scott (Tammy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Memorials have been established for the SCC Booster Club and the Alzheimer Association.
